With concern growing about dwindling reserves of fossil fuels and the spiralling costs of heating our homes, the last few years has seen massive growth in renewable energy, in both commercial and domestic environments. The idea and appeal of a living flame has been reborn, no longer do we have wasteful and messy open fires but instead modern, clean burning wood stoves adding an elegant touch and an inviting warmth to any living space.
As attention turns to recycling of our resources, a natural progression has been to produce "logs" from compressed combustable materials that may otherwise have been wasted. Our new heat briquettes are the perfect culmination of that trend. The economic, clean and convenient solution for wood burning stoves, wood gasification boilers and even (if you must!) for old fashioned open fires.

Open Fires - Feel the heat and the draught!
Sit in front of an open fire and feel the heat. or more accurately the radiant heat, which makes your face go red. Did you know as much as 80% of the heat could be wasted straight up the chimney? Open fires need lots of air, as the fire roars away the hot flue gases pull cold air in from outside your home to replace it. Thats why you can have a red hot face and a draught down your neck at the same time!
